Potential gym trangst

I got told off for using the disabled toilet/changing room by a disabled person. He told me it was for people with knee problems or wheelchairs. I said I could show him my disabled railcard, but he was still kind of iffy with me. The trouble is there is only one disabled changing room at Oasis, and it is a baby changing room as well; it's also used ( Read more... )

Not many people at the one I go to, but a few. Oh, I forgot to put in my post that schools use the disabled toilet when there's a female teacher with boys, so that makes for more stress.

Hm, hope they get back to you soon.

I'm not trans, so I've never that issue. But am disabled and continuously getting filthy looks from people in wheelchairs when I use disabled toilets and the like. People are so bloody ignorant sometimes. And the ones you expect not to be ignorant can be just as bad, if not worse! The only reason I'm not in a damn wheelchair yet is because I won't let myself be. I feel like saying that to people sometimes. My usual response is the combative 'fuck off you narrow minded asswipe'.

For reasons of wanting to fit into the world, I've decided not to have 'I'm incontinent' tattoed on my forehead ;-) It's my physical claim to the disabled loos anyway.

I don't get combative in the toilets, it's too much of a stressy thing for me. I am as assertive as I can be though.
