Gym angst again. I'm going to go today and I'm one day overdue, but I had aching muscles so I gave myself extra time to recuperate. Yes, I think we deserve a good... er, I'll leave it there.

Taking the book with me makes for a good alternative gym buddy. Thanks again for getting me started.

I could really feel my wrists the day after: it's good for ankles and writsts to be strong.

Can i suggest a really fantastic stretching book? It's very friendly as well.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Stretching-Bob-Anderson/dp/0936070226/ref=pd_ka_1/026-7953400-2506843?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1173453327&sr=8-1

I have this book, and i use it to recommend stretches to my clients - it's great!

Thanks aster13. I might get that, it's probably a handy size to take to the gym with me.

I managed to do some Pilates type stretching at the end of my workout. I'm going to keep on stretching as and when as well, I want to keep myself nice and flexible. I was on the tube earlier and held onto the overhead beam(?) and let my body rock to and fro with the movement of the train, it did nice things to my upper back/chest :-D

Bodybuilding for Beginners isn't a bad book, but you should check out Stumptuous if you haven't already (despite the focus on women, the advice is mostly for everyone).
