Look at your LJ "interests" list. If you have fewer than 50 interests, pick every fifth one. If you have between fifty and seventy-five interests, pick every seventh one. If you haven't read Mary Gentle's Golden Witchbreed, you should definitely look out for it. Opinions differ on the sequel, Ancient Light. Many people would like to be able to unread it; a bit like how quite a few Earthsea fans regard Tehanu. As it happens I read AL first so I can't say whether it really retrospectively destroys GW.
