Last Night, grabbing disparate bits form the costume bin and at Amber's insistence, I dressed as Dr. Acula. A group of teenage girls passing us in the night asked if I was Carlsile Cullen. I should have just said yes.

When I first played through Super Metroid, I honestly yelled at the screen in the final fight with Mother Brain.
"No baby metroid! She's waking up! No, I have enough energy now, thank you. You really can't take any more hits, just go! Save yourself, I can handle this! Good, now I'll just . . oh . . . YOU BITCH!"

Ran another group of SPECTRUM kids through their first D&D session.  Not even two hours, but we accomplished some roleplay and ran msot of an encounter before it was time to go.  A few of them had experience with RPG video games, or just fantasy action titles, so between Children of Mana and Lord of the Rings, they had an easy idea of the game ( Read more... )
