Aishuu no Buenos Aires / Nostalgia of Buenos Aires
Yes, if the day of my first translation of a lyric arrived ... I did not expect it because of is a lyric of Kinki!
I discovered the song by chance, the name caugth me and it drag me to translate it ..
The song is about nostalgia, the pain of a lost love.
"It means you basically remembered something old but gold, a memory, an event or a specific person and you are missing it, so you are feeling Nostalgic about that thing, you are wishing deep down inside that it would happen again or you would meet that person again or whatever it is that you are missing, be it food, the place or the people".
The song tell us about a love that stayed in
Buenos Aires.
Buenos Aires my beloved city!
First the story, I used to work a few blocks from the place that the lyricist speaks, which is Masao Urino. That's why I give myself the freedom to know the places and some feelings that the song evokes.
But, as I anticipate a lot of times, my Japanese is far from being a language real learned. I thank Getsu for the corrections.
But I liked the idea of trying something so close to the heart. After obviously listening in those voices my city, my streets...
The feelings are something incomparable. I got the Kanji direct from my japanese friend and took me more than a week to translated into Spanish and then into English. I´m very proud of the results, both us (means Chibadesu and me).

Kanji:
TRANSLATION TO ENGLISH
Nostalgia of Buenos Aires
Translation: Chibadesu
The bells of the Cathedral are ringing
The corner of the street where the sun sets
The voice of the children´s choir even becomes wind
I won´t return
From those precious days
Your shadow will come running through the cobblestones
The river of time have been shed
Flooding our hearts
Without knowing what it is to fear to live in love
Shine blue diamonds
People are already oppressed to such an extent
doesn't miss or cry
That only has one end
It's love, after all
Nostalgia of Buenos Aires
The dream that summer will show also disappears
To an ordinary man, he completely changes from a slap on the cheek
Tears that illuminate the city
It's as if they were lighting up
meanwhile they accumulate sadness and frustration
I just dreamed an impossible dream
I still hear the voice of that day
The light of the window under the stars
my gaze become sad
I softly say your name,
like I was talking to the angels
The love of that time that unfortunately I did not know
asks me how to live
Nostalgia of Buenos Aires
The river of time have been shed
Flooding our hearts
Without knowing what it is to fear to live in love
Shine blue diamonds
People are already oppressed to such an extent
doesn't miss or cry
That only has one end
It's love, after all
Nostalgia of Buenos Aires

NOTES
* Aishuu means painful in literal translation but I put "Nostalgia" instead sorrowful because that is the kanji that the Japanese use to translate the feeling "Nostalgia" that appears in the lyrics of the Tangos for example the tango "Nostalgia" by Enrique Cadícamo
(Link to the song).
* When it speaks of the cathedral it refers to the
Metropolitan Cathedral of Buenos Aires located in Plaza de Mayo, also mentions the entrance of the sun by a corner and the fountain of the historic Square. Reference is also made to the choir of the cathedral as if the lyricist is listening it sitting on entrance steps.
* Cobbles are stones placed by insertion in the streets, are prior to the cement asphalt. In Buenos Aires they are common in the streets built before 1960, their mention is also popular in many tangos.
* During and at the end of the song a background bandoneon is heard.
* Usually in Japanese lyrics the colors are used for evoke some feeling. In this case the blue color is evoked, which in poetry is related to the sadness of past events, thus the story of nostalgia is completed.
* Aishuu no Buenos Aires is part of the Single "Topaz Love / Destiny" (regular edition 2018)
* I'M DOING THE VIDEO WITH SUBS AND KARAOKE * I WILL TAKES LI'L TIME * PLEASE WAIT*
