Help me decide on some shoes!

Oct 08, 2015 15:07

I really need some shoes for choir concerts. I've kept an eye out for the better part of a year, but haven't found anything in regular retail sources that fits my criteria and wasn't totally bland.

Dance Shoes Online is where I got my 1920s-esque shoes for the robe de style. Among their many options, I can find things that meet all of my criteria ( Read more... )

I like #2 best! I think it has beautiful lines. But really, they're all pretty.

Thank you! How do you think they look from directly down? It was harder for me to see the curves from that angle.

Yeah, definitely more straight across from the top. But I think that the topmost strappy bit still gives a nice curve around the foot. At least since you have narrow feet, it won't make your feet look super wide.

Because you mention hauling equipment (which I automatically think of as somehting bulky and rather heavy and the hauling of which would be inconvenient and possible hard on the footwear), I ruled out #3, even though I like its looks best. Beautiful and glamorous, but could it do the equipment lugging (if that's what you'd be doing) and hold up under that? Please excuse me if I've misunderstood.

But I like numbers 1 and 2, too.
No doubt I'm being overly influenced by my own shoe-fitting challenges and my own foot problems, but I'd be looking for what's most comfortable of these three lovelies, the one which would allow me to be on my feet the longest with the greatest comfort or the least discomfort.

(Not very helpful, am I!)

The base of these shoes is all identical, so it really is just deciding on the upper. :)

Ah!
Well, then, in that case I'd favor whichever I knew to be the most comfortable.
But if we're going just on looks, then I think I'd most likely vote for #2, with #3 second by a whisker. :^)

I would vote #3 then #2 then #1. They're all nice, though, and they all look like they'd stay on well, which is always the sticking point with narrow feet.

Staying on is a definitely bonus from using dance shoes. Thanks!

I've voting for #3. No real reason, just gut reaction. Hope that helps.
