My car

I've decided my car is a 'thing' magnet.  From the day I picked it up from the dealership it has had unbelievable encounters.  The town in which I bought the car sits on a large lake.  As I drove home with my shiny new car I went over a causeway just as someone cast their line.  Their hook snagged my wing mirror.

Since then my car has been:

You need to have a superhero riding shotgun who has a force field. *nods*

Seconds the superhero idea. Your car is a klutz. It happens with things, too, not just people. :-)

If you can't find a superhero to save your car, I think you need an exorsist. Clearly something wicked is going on.

Exorcism sounds good. But at least you haven't been hurt, which probably means the 'thing' is targeting your car and not you!

Reminds me of a family car we had many years ago. It was the first white car Dad had owned, and the thing was jinxed. Within 2 years it had been hit 6 times by other cars or trucks, and on each occasion Dad's car was stopped in traffic or actually parked. The last straw was when he'd parked it outside the office, on a hill - and the brakes on a cement-mixer truck failed, so that it careered down the hill and side-swiped eight cars, including Dad's. My father was a down-to-earth engineer and not the slightest bit superstitious - but he traded-in the car as soon as it was repaired, and never bought another white one!

Umm... why did your dad's not-quite superstition focus on the color? Did he consider the registration plate? Things can be added/divided/manipulated in lots of ways to obtain 13 or what-have-you. :-)

Because he'd never really wanteda white car, but this one was provided through his job. We all told him it didn't matter what colour he got - just as long as it was a different car!! He went back to a series of silver grey cars until the day he died, and never another accident ...

Oh, I'm so sorry. I didn't know he's dead. I do apologize if my tongue-in-cheek remark hurt you.
But I have to say that silver grey is a very sexy color for a car!
