Summary: Donghae meets an alluring man at a bar. Without meaning to, Donghae gets pulled into the man's world, much deeper than he had ever intended.
“Eunhyuk?” asked Donghae, voice small.
“Yes?”
“Can I take this off?” Donghae heard Eunhyuk shift.
“No. Besides, I like you like this. There’s something really kinky about it. We should do this again, but in my bedroom, one day.”
Donghae resisted the urge to rip the blindfold from his eyes to glare at Eunhyuk. Instead, he slouched back into the passenger seat. “Why won’t you tell me where we’re going? And what’s with all this secrecy? We’re not going to the Batcave, are we?”
“I want it to be a surprise.” Eunhyuk sounded far too amused for Donghae’s liking. “But if it makes you feel better, you can hold my hand.”
“Why would I want to do that?” grumbled Donghae. He felt Eunhyuk’s hand slip into his own, warm.
“Are you scared of the dark?” Underneath the teasing tone, Donghae could sense a hint of concern. He felt Eunhyuk’s thumb stroke his knuckles gently.
“No,” answered Donghae truthfully. “I just don’t like the feeling of not being able to see.”
“Don’t we all?” responded Eunhyuk’s voice vaguely.
Donghae felt the car slow down to a stop, and Eunhyuk’s hand suddenly was gone. “Eunhyuk?” Donghae called nervously, hands groping around in the darkness. “Eunhyuk, where are you?”
“Right here.” Eunhyuk’s voice came from the other side of Donghae this time. There was a click as Donghae’s seat belt was unbuckled. Eunhyuk’s hands grasped Donghae’s and pulled him out of the car.
“Are we in an underground parking lot?” asked Donghae upon hearing an odd echoing sound.
“Bingo, Sherlock.”
Eunhyuk guided Donghae for a while before Donghae felt a slight breeze on his face from a door opening. Immediately, Donghae’s senses were overwhelmed. There was a buzz of conversation from all directions. He wrinkled his nose as he smelled smoke from cigarettes, a scent that permeated everywhere.
Before he could turn around to Eunhyuk, the blindfold was removed. Blinking as his eyes adjusted to the bright lights, Donghae took in the scene before him, heart beating abnormally fast.
They were in what Donghae could only guess was a casino. The room, big enough to house Donghae’s apartment several times over, was filled with various gaming tables and slot machines. There were even some bars off to the side. Numerous well-dressed people flocked around each game, doling out money like it grew on trees. Dealers moved efficiently to pass out chips and cards.
“Welcome to my world,” said Eunhyuk, spreading his arms.
“An underground gambling ring.” Donghae’s eyes drank in everything. “This is illegal.”
Eunhyuk leaned over to lift two glasses of wine from the tray of a passing waiter. “And that’s why the blindfold was necessary,” he replied, handing one to Donghae. “Can’t have people finding this place. We also prefer to call it a secret society of money lovers.”
Donghae nodded as he sipped his drink, eyes roaming the room.
“What is this?” snapped a familiar voice. Donghae turned to see an androgynous man stalking towards them, lips drawn in a thin line. “You know this is by strict invite only.”
“Heechul-hyung, this is Donghae,” introduced Eunhyuk. “I invited him.”
Heechul moved to give Donghae a critical once over. “This is the Donghae you’ve been talking about? He doesn’t look like much.” He peered closely at Donghae’s face, and Donghae tried his best to hide his perspiration. “You seem familiar.”
“We saw him at Hangeng-hyung’s restaurant,” Eunhyuk supplied helpfully.
Heechul gave a curt nod. “I remember now.” He leaned in to address Donghae. “So, you’re Eunhyuk’s new boy toy. People are betting that you’ll last since you’ve gotten this far. I don’t think so.” His eyes glinted maliciously. “How long do you give it before he dumps you?”
As intimidated as he was, Donghae tried not to show it. “I’d say about the same time it takes for Hangeng to tire of you,” he dared to say.
Eunhyuk nearly dropped his wine glass while Heechul’s face registered shock. Donghae inconspicuously wiped his palms on his pants.
Heechul started laughing. “Where did you pick this one up, Eunhyuk? I like him; he’s got guts. You have some potential there.” Clapping Donghae on the shoulder, the older man walked away.
“You’re insane,” Eunhyuk hissed once Heechul was out of earshot. He stared at Donghae as though he was seeing him for the first time. “No one has ever talked back to Heechul-hyung before. Absolutely nuts.”
“Isn’t that what you like about me?” asked Donghae innocently. “My nuts?”
Eunhyuk leered at him. “The thing I like most,” he agreed.
“So, does this happen often?” Donghae gestured towards the gaming tables.
“Every night,” Eunhyuk nodded. “We have to have some excitement in our lives.”
“I’m surprised you managed to keep this operation under covers for so long,” Donghae mused.
“The police are a bunch of dumb tacks that sit around trying to decide which donut shop to go to next,” Eunhyuk scoffed. “They couldn’t tell the difference between an anchovy and a clownfish.”
“Ouch,” Donghae winced. “Harsh.”
“Enough with the talking.” Eunhyuk produced a fat wad of cash from his pocket. “Let’s go win some money.”
Donghae gawked at the stack of bills, jaw hanging open. He knew Eunhyuk was phenomenally wealthy, but this was just ridiculous. “Money doesn’t mean much to you, does it?” he commented wryly as he followed Eunhyuk across the room towards a vacant seat.
Eunhyuk shrugged. “Not many things mean much to me anymore, but it’s nice to have a lot of money anyway.” Dropping into the seat, he gestured for the dealer to deal him in.
Donghae watched as Eunhyuk won round after round, amassing quite a pile of chips. Poker was Eunhyuk’s game.
-
Later, in the comforts of Eunhyuk’s bed, Donghae supposed that life was one big cosmic poker game. Donghae was always confident that he had all the right cards, but now he wondered.
-
“Is that where you go at night? To that gambling place.”
Eunhyuk raised his eyebrow at Donghae, slightly surprised. “You noticed?”
Donghae nodded. “Sometimes when I wake up in the middle of the night, you’re not there.”
Eunhyuk patted Donghae’s head in what could only be a condescending manner. “You’re not as stupid as you appear,” he remarked.
Donghae glowered at him. “You’re a gambling addict,” he accused.
Eunhyuk lifted one shoulder. “Where’s the fun in life if you don’t take a little risk?
-
No matter how many times Donghae tagged along, he could never get enough of watching Eunhyuk. The blank, impassive expression when he played poker was so different from the smirk Donghae had come to expect. But what Donghae was really waiting for was the brief, but genuine smile that lit up Eunhyuk’s face when he won.
Donghae almost (almost) wished that the smile was directed towards himself.
-
Donghae stared at his reflection in the window pane before turning back to his steaming cup of latte. “Kyuhyun, you can’t spend our entire lunch break playing Starcraft,” he complained.
Kyuhyun’s eyes remained glued to the laptop screen. “Oh yeah? Watch me.”
“That’s what I’ve been doing for the past fifteen minutes,” groaned Donghae. “I thought you took me to this café out of the goodness of your heart, not to steal the free internet.”
“You should know me better than that,” Kyuhyun said as the noises from his laptop got louder.
Donghae frowned and stared around the café. Aside from the old man reading a newspaper in the corner, it was all but empty. Just as he was about to lay his head on the table, the bell chimed and the door opened.
“One cup of latte.”
Donghae’s heart skipped a beat as he stared at the customer. Even with his back turned, there was no doubt about who it was; Donghae could recognize that pale skin and red hair anywhere. Donghae glanced nervously at Kyuhyun, who was still engrossed in his game.
The Game Over noise sounded, and Kyuhyun made a frustrated noise. He reached for his cup of caffeine, only to find it empty. “I’m going to buy another one,” he said, pushing back his chair.
“No!” cried Donghae, a bit too forcefully. Donghae saw Eunhyuk turn around, recognition flashing in his eyes. Avoiding the gaze, Donghae forced his untouched latte into Kyuhyun’s hand. “Here, have mine.”
Kyuhyun looked suspiciously at Donghae. “You’re acting weird.”
“Really?” said Donghae with a small, clearly fake laugh. “I just don’t want it anymore and it would be a waste to throw it away.”
Kyuhyun frowned. “Lee Donghae not wanting a latte? Now I know something is up.” He started to turn around to view the register.
Quickly, Donghae lunged across the table and grabbed Kyuhyun’s face, forcing him to stay in place. “Haha, it’s nothing,” he said, squishing Kyuhyun’s cheeks between his palms.
“Wurrrrr,” protested Kyuhyun, trying to fight against Donghae’s strong grip.
Donghae saw Eunhyuk’s stare linger on them for a second before the latter turned back to get his cup of latte. Donghae breathed a sigh of relief as Eunhyuk finally left the coffee shop, and he let go of Kyuhyun’s face.
Kyuhyun’s eyes made a beeline for the register. Seeing nothing out of the ordinary, he turned back to Donghae. “What was that for?” he whined, rubbing his abused cheeks.
“Nothing,” said Donghae cheerfully, stealing his cup of latte back. “I think we should go back now.”
Kyuhyun glared at Donghae. “Something’s up with you,” he declared. Donghae shrugged noncommittally.
-
Donghae was roughly pushed onto the bed as soon as he entered the room. Lips attacked his and a harsh bite to his lower one caused him to gasp, allowing a tongue to be practically shoved down his throat.
Resisting his gag reflex, Donghae pulled his head away as far back as possible. “Eunhyuk?”
The redhead stared back at him, eyes like bottomless, fiery pits. Wordlessly, he bent down to bite Donghae’s neck hard. The brunette cried out in pain.
“Eunhyuk, what’s wrong?” panted Donghae, trying to get a clear view of Eunhyuk.
Without a sound, Eunhyuk straddled Donghae and recaptured his lips in a heated kiss. Donghae returned the kiss, but stopped when he heard a familiar clicking sound. Trying to reach out to touch Eunhyuk, he confirmed his suspicions.
“Why did you handcuff me to the bed?” demanded Donghae, a sliver of panic making its way into his voice.
Eunhyuk skimmed his fingers over the top button of Donghae’s shirt before ripping it open in one swift movement.
“Eunhyuk, talk to me,” Donghae pleaded, tugging fruitlessly at the handcuffs.
“I saw you today with that guy again,” Eunhyuk finally spoke up, fingers making quick work of the zipper on Donghae’s pants. “Who is he? Is he why you canceled our lunch date?”
“A coworker,” Donghae replied, shivering as Eunhyuk pulled down his boxers. He felt his lips twitch into a very Eunhyuk-esque smirk. “Jealous?”
Eunhyuk rolled his hips, grinding down hard and leaving Donghae a gasping mess when he pulled back. “You wish.”
-
Eunhyuk collapsed onto Donghae’s chest, exhausted. Donghae, equally worn out, tried to catch his breath.
“Can you take this off?” asked Donghae, rattling the handcuffs. Eunhyuk leaned over to unlock it, and Donghae felt a wave of relief as his arms were freed from their restricting position. He lowered his wrists with a wince. They had been rubbed raw from the unforgiving metal of the cuffs, even oozing blood at some places.
Donghae felt Eunhyuk’s hands lift his own and looked up at the older in surprise. Eunhyuk’s expression was an odd mix of emotions, but his eyes stared into Donghae’s with clear purpose.
Lifting Donghae’s wrists up to his lips, Eunhyuk placed gentle butterfly kisses on the damaged skin. “Mine,” Donghae thought he heard Eunhyuk breathe into one of the kisses.
It was enough to make Donghae cry. But he didn’t.

A/N: Sorry for the late update. Finals are coming up (and I actually need to pay attention in class).
Just to clear up any confusion, this fic is indeed a HaeHyuk one, not a HyukHae. In case you were wondering, Eunhyuk is a dominant uke. Why? Because they're hot.
So you know that last scene? It's suppose to be all romantic and stuff, but while I was writing it, all I could think of were those seagulls from Finding Nemo squawking "mine, mine, mine."
