[dated to 2/15] V-PLOT: for Lennox and Nicki

Feb 10, 2010 13:14

[somewhat continued from here]

With Angelo already tucked into a bowl of scraps on the floor, Miguel's arms are free to wrap around Jim.  Things still seem weird, but not in a bad way, not like Jim's pissed at him or anything, so he thinks it's okay.  Jim's cooking breakfast at the stove and for a minute, Miguel looks around, at the other people in ( Read more... )

Lennox squirms a little when Miguel's arms go around him, not because he's got a problem with it, but because he's standing over the hot stove and he's worried about burning one or both of them. "Fucking eggs and bacon," he says with a laugh, prodding at the bacon with his spatula before he leans back against Miguel a little.

It's fucked. It's so fucked, but he's going to let himself enjoy it until it isn't there anymore. He knows by now that it's something with the island, that tomorrow Miguel will probably wake up and wonder what the hell had gotten into him, but Lennox kind of misses this sort of interaction. It's hard not to just let himself enjoy it.

"You're not careful, I'm gonna burn it," he adds with a grin, nudging his hips back in a movement that's half suggestive and half a teasing nudge.

"I like it a little crispy," he dismisses, not even really caring about the food today, though it smells fucking great. Today what he cares about is Jim, about how warm he is and how his hair tickles when Miguel nuzzles into it, clung together like a pair of stupid teenagers who don't notice anything but each other.

The longer they stand there, the more people come into the kitchen, but he drops his head against Jim's shoulder and tries to ignore everyone else. He's got Jim and he's in love and not so lonely, and everybody else can just go to hell.

It hadn't escaped her how odd people were acting that day, but she'd written it off as spill over from the childish, nauseating antics of yesterday's frivolous holiday. She'd stubbornly gone about her business that morning, ignoring all the rest, and maybe it was because deep down she wished she knew what it felt like to be so sickeningly in love.

Still, that didn't prepare her for what she stumbled across in the kitchen. Her mouth dropping open in shock, she demanded, "What in the devil's going on here?" The entire day had seemed strange, no doubt, but this... this she couldn't even wrap her mind around.

"Breakfast," Lennox answers, although he isn't sure that the woman is even speaking to him. "Bacon and eggs, to be more specific."

If she wants some, she's welcome to it, but he doesn't think that's exactly what she's after. He turns a little in the circle of Miguel's arms, just enough to catch a glimpse of the woman and now he's sure he's never met her before. Seen her around, sure, but never been introduced. So that means she's either really into breakfast foods or she knows Miguel, because it looks like she's speaking to them.
