When my mom's agency first got internal email, it wasn't obvious to her that the recipient could tell who the sender was even if the message wasn't signed (I gather it was not normal email but some overly wrapped up thing like Outlook's prehistoric cousin). Anyway, she promptly took to trash-talking one of her close friends and fellow managers, assuming he couldn't tell who the messages were coming from. Oops.
