No, not quite. In the epilog it's revealed that HP becomes head of the Aurors at one point, the guys who keep magic bad dudes a) in line and b) out of the view of mugggles.

I would watch the HELL out of a show around them. Especially a "new generation" one with HP as the cranky director XD
