I've been pretty busy at work since the New Year's party. After the holidays is always a bad time for violent crimes. Mostly lovers spats and disgruntled employees. You'd think that holiday good will would last further into the new year. It's really awful what people do to each other. On behalf of everyone in the complex (because there's a lot of you I don't really know), I donated $500 to the Smile Train, enough for two surgeries!

I feel bad about moving with Kenta just as he started settling into my old apartment. The kid needs stability more than anything else right now, but the schools near here *are* a lot better. His old classmates didn't know him long, but he seemed inordinately pleased about the goodbye card they made for him. I hope he makes new friends quickly here ( Read more... )
