I've been pretty busy at work since the New Year's party. After the holidays is always a bad time for violent crimes. Mostly lovers spats and disgruntled employees. You'd think that holiday good will would last further into the new year. It's really awful what people do to each other. It is a bad time, isn't it? Especially on the homicide side. We've been drowning in work lately.

I wish people were more... well, human.

Mmmm.. as satisfying as it is to close a case, multiple investigations are draining. I'm trying not to be as... fanatic as I used to be. I really don't need to burn out again. That was hell.

Same. Luckily I have people around me now that remind me that the world isn't full of evil assholes.
