SOMETIME AFTER DUSKanora_beeDecember 20 2007, 23:46:18 UTC
Nora had been feeling kind of IFFY about this ball after all that had been going down in recent days and weeks and aeons, but at this moment in time she was feeling GREAT

It wasn't too hard to persuade Carlisle once he found out that by going to the dance as Apollo, he'd be going in a way that could show off his chest. Yeah, Carlisle was a bit too much of an exhibitionist at times. Glancing around the hall, he hated to admit that that was true. The Hufflepuffs hadn't failed hardcore at decorating the hall for the dance at all.
"Looks awesome," Carlisle replied, more than a little intoxicated himself. And, well, it was a dance, so... "Wanna dance?"
Re: SOMETIME AFTER DUSKanora_beeDecember 21 2007, 00:15:01 UTC
DANCING?
"Absolutely," she said, grabbing his hand and leading them out into the midst of swishy people. Oh it had been WAY too long since dancing had been a public event at Hogwarts. "Iiiii think that there should be dancing all the time," she said, grinning.
Re: SOMETIME AFTER DUSKcarlislerDecember 22 2007, 10:06:03 UTC
"I agree!" Carlisle replied with a grin, before dancing and whatnot. Eventually it came to a stop, blah blah blah, and they were off the dance floor. Nora was amazing, obviously, because she WAS Nora and Nora by definition was made of awesome. "Unless you wanted to get back out there...?" He nodded towards the dancing area, which he'd led them away from.
I don't know, sometime during the dance...mynameisanyaDecember 21 2007, 01:34:56 UTC
Anya was having an AMAZING time thus far, thoroughly enjoying herself dancing and hanging out with her date Felix and stuff. It was so much fun! And it didn't take her too long to stop being self conscious about her costume, which was quite skanky as she was a ho to the gangsta known as Felix. She had decided it was actually kind of a nice outfit, since it kept her cool while dancing. Got heated out in the middle of that dance floor, ya know?
"I need agua!" She yelled to the date over the music, her throat getting scratchy and dry. Yes, water would be a GREAT thing at the moment. So she squeezed on out of the dance floor, heading to the table with the punch and water and other beverages.
That's when she spotted JJ. Or, well she thought that was JJ!! "Jay? Hey! Wow, you look great!"
Re: I don't know, sometime during the dance...jj_rizzoDecember 21 2007, 01:49:16 UTC
Speaking of not noticing people when you spotted them, well J.J. definitely hadn't noticed that that was Anya. Until, you know, now when she was in front of him and he was trying to think of something to say. Because there was his best mate, in...almost no clothes.
Though it was just because she was like a sister to him, not that he still liked her. Because he didn't he just was a little surprised. That's all.
J.J. unconciously gulped before avoiding looking at her outfit, just trying to focus on her face and only her face while being nonchalent. Which he was actually pulling off pretty well. He hoped.
With a grin, he looked down at his outfit and shrugged, his hand immediately going to the sword strapped at his waist. Best part of the thing if you asked him so, but don't tell that to Trip.
"Anya? Thanks uh...so do you. Having fun?" Cool, calm, natural. Oh and remember to breathe. That would be important.
Re: I don't know, sometime during the dance...mynameisanyaDecember 21 2007, 02:00:47 UTC
Anya was happily oblivious to the fact that he was staring more intently at her face than he normally did. What did you expect? A bunch of other blokes had whistled at her or said something to her, and she'd just smiled and thought it was flattering that they liked her costume!! Oh, to be young and naive. It was fun sometimes.
"Thanks!!" She chirped at his oh-so-eloquent way of complimenting her. Thankfully she didn't even realize he wasn't so sincere. Or, well he may have been sincere, but rather uncomfortable with it? Whatever the tone, it flew over her head as she was currently pouring herself a glass of water.
Anya looked around for Trip, wondering where her friend was. Things had been a little rocky between them since the other day but as always Anya had a way of bouncing back quickly and not holding a grudge. "That's a wicked sword you got there, looks big."
Re: I don't know, sometime during the dance...jj_rizzoDecember 21 2007, 02:12:43 UTC
Trip had just stepped away to say hi or talk to someone. J.J. had taken the opportunity to go get a drink which was what he was reaching for right then. He just needed to make sure he didn't get it on the revolutionary costume, or so Trip had coined it.
He grinned at the comment about his sword NOT PERVERTEDLY GEEZE and looked down at it. "Yah it took a while but I got it to the right size. Do you want to see it? It's pretty wicked."
Fortunately he was not thinking in a dirty sense at all, otherwise his mind would possibly be blow. But, then again, innocent innuendos seemed to be their speciality, weren't they? Hopefully it wouldn't end like last year at the ball. Funny how things happened like that...
Oh yes, because James was going to DRESS UP. How likely.
He snorted at the sight of some of the costumed 4th years when he stepped into the Hall. James wasn't exactly one to appreciate the bright colours and awkwardness of costumes. He much preferred taking advantage of these events to get out of robes and into clothing of the 'not-school' variety.
The Ravenclaw strolled over to the drinks and poured himself a cup of punch. A cautious sniff before he sipped as memories from the last party returned to him, it appeared safe. He gazed around at the crowd, mildly unimpressed. Where was everybody?
"James!!!" Celeste yelled out as she spotted him at the punch table, where she was sipping on more of her laced-with-booze-drink. It was fun times, seriously! Which was probably why she was greeting the boy in such a cheerful manner. But what could you do? So far the dance had been quite fun.
"You came! I'm quite surprised by that, actually," She grinned at the boy, knowing he wasn't exactly an overly social type. But hey, neither was she, so it worked out! "But where's your costume? Or is that one?" She quirked her brow, scanning him quickly as she wondered what it could be that he dressed up as, "I'm an angel, aren't I cute?" Celeste even posed, clearly not acting her normal, more reserved and mature self. Oh well!
"Adorable," James replied dryly, arching an eyebrow as he eyed the charmed halo floating above her head. He had to admit, this was a prime example of why he loathed these events. They drove perfectly sensible people to behaving like some sort of ridiculous child. An angel!? Merlin, what had drove her to it?
His lips thinned slightly at the suggestion that what he was wearing was a costume. James pulled on the lapels of his black jacket, tightening it around his back. "As if," He started, "I would wear a costume. We're not five year olds, Celeste. I'm surprised that you even bothered." James wasn't surprised that she was hear and from what he could smell, mildly drunk because this tended to happen during these events. But the fact that his friend had actually bothered to wear a costume? That, that surprised him. "What have you been up to then?" He asked, folding his arms across his chest as he sized up the crowd once more. "Anyone around?"
Even in her state she could tell he wasn't serious with that compliment. And what could she expect? It was just the type of thing he would look down on. Could she blame him? Not exactly... dressing up in silly costumes was quite juvenile. But if he'd only try it, he would see that it could also be quite fun. Either way, she wasn't going to be offended by his opinions, especially since she couldn't exactly form all her thoughts about it in her mind without being distracted.
"Well, either way, you look nice," She grinned, still a bit too cheery for her own good. "Ummm." She paused as he asked what she had been up to. What had she been up to? Oh... hehehe... that's right, "I kissed a girl? Yeah, that probably wasn't the best thing for me to do... and I'm trying to find Rowan at the moment, but I can't seem to spot her! Who do you want to find? I'll help! I have nothing better to do. Unless you want to dance?" She wasn't sure if James was the dancing sort, but it was worth a shot.
Zak could be seen out on the dancefloor dancing with one of the younger Hufflepuff girls. He grinned as he gave her a final twirl before heading off to find people his own age!
The Gryffindor captain grinned widely as he spotted friends scattered all over the room. A social night was most certainly ahead! A fair amount of alcohol was already flowing through his veins thanks to his own store and Zak was happily buzzin' as he wandered about, greeting friends old and new. It was amazing how little you could talk to people during the school term, especially this year with the insane amount of class and study.
Not that Zak was getting bogged down by the class hours or study time, no it was that everyone else he knew was and so, he was less likely to run into people in the halls than any other year before this. A bit sad really, but sure, they wanted their education and he couldn't exactly deny them that.
CeCe was talking to Cole until someone bumped into her. She turned to see who it was. "Oh, hi, Dylan," she said politely, not wanting to be rude. She bid Cole farewell.
"How are you?" she asked, eyeing the scandalous dress. "Nice dress." She said without any real emotion in her voice.
CeCe smiled slightly with a slight tilt of her head. What a strange response. If someone had said that to her, she wouldn't have responded quite like that. "Oh, your dress. Nothing is wrong with it," she said, trying to keep her tone light and casual. She didn't want to offend the girl or anything.
"I'm doing just swell," she said sweetly. Way to be sarcastic, CeCe, she scolded herself. You got more flies with honey than vinegar, right?
