I don't know, sometime during the dance...mynameisanyaDecember 21 2007, 01:34:56 UTC
Anya was having an AMAZING time thus far, thoroughly enjoying herself dancing and hanging out with her date Felix and stuff. It was so much fun! And it didn't take her too long to stop being self conscious about her costume, which was quite skanky as she was a ho to the gangsta known as Felix. She had decided it was actually kind of a nice outfit, since it kept her cool while dancing. Got heated out in the middle of that dance floor, ya know?
"I need agua!" She yelled to the date over the music, her throat getting scratchy and dry. Yes, water would be a GREAT thing at the moment. So she squeezed on out of the dance floor, heading to the table with the punch and water and other beverages.
That's when she spotted JJ. Or, well she thought that was JJ!! "Jay? Hey! Wow, you look great!"

Speaking of not noticing people when you spotted them, well J.J. definitely hadn't noticed that that was Anya. Until, you know, now when she was in front of him and he was trying to think of something to say. Because there was his best mate, in...almost no clothes.
Though it was just because she was like a sister to him, not that he still liked her. Because he didn't he just was a little surprised. That's all.
J.J. unconciously gulped before avoiding looking at her outfit, just trying to focus on her face and only her face while being nonchalent. Which he was actually pulling off pretty well. He hoped.
With a grin, he looked down at his outfit and shrugged, his hand immediately going to the sword strapped at his waist. Best part of the thing if you asked him so, but don't tell that to Trip.
"Anya? Thanks uh...so do you. Having fun?" Cool, calm, natural. Oh and remember to breathe. That would be important.

Anya was happily oblivious to the fact that he was staring more intently at her face than he normally did. What did you expect? A bunch of other blokes had whistled at her or said something to her, and she'd just smiled and thought it was flattering that they liked her costume!! Oh, to be young and naive. It was fun sometimes.
"Thanks!!" She chirped at his oh-so-eloquent way of complimenting her. Thankfully she didn't even realize he wasn't so sincere. Or, well he may have been sincere, but rather uncomfortable with it? Whatever the tone, it flew over her head as she was currently pouring herself a glass of water.
Anya looked around for Trip, wondering where her friend was. Things had been a little rocky between them since the other day but as always Anya had a way of bouncing back quickly and not holding a grudge. "That's a wicked sword you got there, looks big."

Trip had just stepped away to say hi or talk to someone. J.J. had taken the opportunity to go get a drink which was what he was reaching for right then. He just needed to make sure he didn't get it on the revolutionary costume, or so Trip had coined it.
He grinned at the comment about his sword NOT PERVERTEDLY GEEZE and looked down at it. "Yah it took a while but I got it to the right size. Do you want to see it? It's pretty wicked."
Fortunately he was not thinking in a dirty sense at all, otherwise his mind would possibly be blow. But, then again, innocent innuendos seemed to be their speciality, weren't they? Hopefully it wouldn't end like last year at the ball. Funny how things happened like that...

"I would love to see your sword. Whip it out, will ya?" She grinned widely, having some weird liking to weapons. Perhaps it was the whole being violent thing that drew her to them... or the fact that she was a tomboy at heart... who knew. "I bet it could do a lot of damage. You do know how to use it, don't you?"
Pfft. Innuendos? What were THOSE??? Anya wouldn't have dreamed in all the world that what they were talking about could mean anything else than what it was at face value. It was a SWORD for crying out loud!! What else could it mean?!?
But yes, they seemed to be pros at this whole double meaning thing. So if anyone was to come along and listen to their conversation, and they didn't happen to have quite as innocent minds as these two, then they would perhaps think something was going on. But for now, nothing more could be thought of it! The two friends were merely appreciating the weapon, kthnx.

"Well it's not sharp," J.J. said slightly before waving a hand to get that idea away and then going and taking it out, holding it up proudly for her to see. You see his sword? Was bloody brilliant! Or at least it was in his opinion. It didn't have all of those fancy jewels on the handles or on the blade itself. But it was big, heavy and looked like it might have actually been used in a war.
Bloody brilliant use of charms if he did say so himself.
He snorted at her question and rolled his eyes. "Course I do. Come on love, I'm not that bloody daft. Here want to give it a try?"

It wasn't sharp? Well that was kind of lame. The whole point of a sword was so that you could inflict pain on people! If it wasn't even real, then what was the point?? Okay, okay. She wasn't exactly thinking that at the moment, because the sword still looked wicked cool, but still. It would have been even better if it was real.
Her expression was one of amaze when he pulled out the sword, half wondering why she found it so fascinating. But she gathered that he must have charmed it or something, and although she wouldn't actually admit this or tell him -- he'd done a really good job of it.

"You mean I can touch it?"
