The guy I wasn't dating but who was so excited about being friends no longer even responds to friendly emails.

I guess I was only of interest so long as I was a potential sexual partner.  Nothing that goes on in my head is worth his time.

I wish this didn't keep happening.

But isn't it better to know this NOW? And know that your gut instincts about why you didn't want him in that way were dead on?

What happens in your head is the most valuable thing about you. HE is not worth your time.

It just feels like this has happened multiple times now. They decide they don't want to sleep with me (the Whovian, or so I assume), or I decide I don't want to sleep with them (this guy, He of the Ethnic Jokes) and ... it's like they pull the sheet with my name on it out of the typewriter, crumple it, and throw it away.

I guess dating qua dating isn't that much fun. I'd rather just hang out with people and let us both make an intelligent decision about what we're willing to risk for more.
