June 15th - Afternoon - Quality Quidditch Supplies jj_rizzo August 7 2007, 02:53:34 UTC
J.J. was already having to babysit his little sisters and it wasn't even two weeks into the summer. Not that he really minded deep down, but he tried to make it seem like he was annoyed.

But he was slightly side tracked from his actual duties to stop the girls from completely destroying something and was instead standing outside Quality Quidditch Supplies. Christie and Jayne could go and terrorize some bloody old ladies for all he cared. Right now he was wondering how he could possibly get that broom without practically begging for it.

Ed was happy. He and Ashleigh were getting nicely settled into their flat and even though they didn't have their NEWT scores yet and were basically just waiting to hear about their respective job prospects, things were going quite nicely.

They'd take a trip into Diagon to do some shopping and when Ashleigh ran into some friends, Ed had excused himself to go check out the new gear here in the Quidditch shop.

There was no need to actually buy anything, of course, but Ed couldn't help looking over the merchandise and getting a little inwardly nostalgic about his days on the Slytherin team, back in the not too distant past.

J.J. wanted that bloody broom, but he knew his parents. As it was he didn't have that much money on him, but if he saved up he probably could get it. At any rate he just wanted to go in and see what they had.

When he went in he thought he saw someone vaguely familiar, older, but he couldn't place where he knew him from. Probably played Quidditch, looks old enough to graduate...BLOODY HELL!

He walked up to the man and grinned, "You were the bloody Slytherin captain!"

Ed grinned broadly at that. Proud of his work as captain? You bet your arse he was! He missed it, too, running teh team, playing, winning.

"That I was," he confirmed with a friendly grin, looking down at the shorter boy.

"It's beautiful, isn't it?" he asked, nodding towards the broom he'd been eying. Oh, if only he could justify buying one..

Of all of the things that Jack did for the ministry that were not his job, this was definitely not even remotely close. Going to Diagon Alley to a blasted greenhouse to drop off some papers and pick up samples of Fanged Geraniums for the bloody International Magical Trading Standards Body was not in his job description. He was beginning to tire of this. He'd been at the ministry over a year and still he was nothing more than a glorified messenger pigeon. And now just about every department was bouncing him back and forth using him for any menial task they were too busy to do themmselves ( ... )

Addie adored working at the greenhouse. Alton tended to leave her alone for the most part since he was usually to busy with his own work to watch over her all the time. Currently he had her working the front of the greenhouse...dealing with customers (something she never really cared for.)

Right now she was proving this point by ignoring the door's bell and continuing to prune a flutterby bush. Obviously if the person really NEEDED something they'd ask; otherwise why bother?

Early August, midday, Alton's Oasis greenhouse jack_martin August 24 2007, 20:45:26 UTC
Jack glanced around the greenhouse. There was no one around to greet him so he stood awkwardly for a few moments, wondering if he should make his way through the rows upon rows of plants. The greenhouse didn't look that big from the outside... but in here it was huge. Decisively he took off down a row, spotting a person immediately by a large flutterby bush.

Actually... that person looked kind of familiar... yes, he definitely recognized that blond hair... in fact, he could vividly recall what that hair felt like between his fingers as his lips were pressed firmly against the lips that he new were on that face that wasn't looking at him...

Of course now would be a hell of a time to be mistaken, as he tip toed up and slipped his arm around the young woman's waist from behind. "Surprise."

There were two completely normal and completely in character responses for Addie to choose from when she felt a man's arm find their way around her. The first would be to elbow the guy in the gut and the second was to turn around and kiss them. Both were instinctual and the response usually only varied due to her own mood.

Today Addie was in a decent mood, since the shop side had been particularly customerless, and with a words like 'surprise' it made her playful. She didn't know who it was but she didn't much care as she turned kissed the mystery man with her eyes closed.
