Just think about debugging for example--any decent debugger will let you pause the program where you would like and literally open it up and peer through all the variables that are active so that you can observe the state of the system at any time, letting you track bugs down to the root.

I had my first Calc II exam this morning. I'm pretty sure I aced it, but I'm never without a bucket of doubt that eats away at the rear of my skull until I get the test back.
