This is for my darling, softlyforgotten: a very very belated birthday gift (I started it thinking it'd be possibly 5000 words. AHAHAHA.) Mik, it is possible that no one else in the world will find this the slightest bit appealing, but I hope you have as much fun reading it as I did writing it.

I thought it was too good to be true when I opened my computer one morning and saw that an epic multipart fic with Brad/Ray had appeared, but apparently miracles do happen. I have never read the Temeraire series, but I really like the idea of the dragons. Especially Bravo, her hatching scene was my favourite. In my head I had a running commentary of "Ray and Brad are having a baby omg so cute!!!11one"
The characterization was awesome (except I thought that Ray's teenage girl angst might have been a bit exaggerated) and the way you made it work with the different canons was great.

......and now I spot with my little eye that there might be a sequel. YES PLEASE?? <3<3<3<3

Hee! Thank you, the hatching scene was pretty much my favorite part to write, too. Baby dragons! WHO CAN RESIST THEM!

Thank you! And yeah, possibly I could have toned it down a bit on the angst front, but then, Ray was a teenager for most of the fic, heh. <3

There will indeed be a sequel eventually! I cannot leave things as is, but it'll be a while, since I have another couple projects to deal with first. Probably this summer I'll start gearing up to work on it more.

I thought I'd drop you a line and thank you and your fic for leading me His Majesty's Dragon! :D I'm reading the first one and am almost halfway through, and I'm pretty HOOKED. Also, reading it kind of makes me laugh because when I see characters that you've mentioned in your fic, I get all excited -- it's like this novel is the fic and yours is the canon. ::sigh:: If only there was a Brad and a Ray in this series. And it's still continuing! YAY <3

Anyway, one instance is before they go to Scotland to train at a particular covert and everyone's all hush-hush about it, and I THINK I know why...is it because the training master is the DRAGON you mentioned?! a;sjga;gdjaldg It'll tickle me silly if it is.

AREN'T THEY AWESOME? I love those books like burning. HOW ADORABLY NOBLE IS LAURENCE? And then there is Temeraire. ♥___♥ And you have gotten hooked just in time! The sixth book is coming out soon! And don't worry, there are tons of delicious pairings to look forward to in the books, IMO. *g*

I saw that there was a sixth book coming out :D I did that thing where you can request a free copy of the first book for a friend and be in the running to get a signed copy of the sixth. Did you do that?!

Temeraire is so SWEEEEET. About wanting Laurence over a nest of gold to sleep on, even if gold were really comfortable HAHA And how he pets the jewelry Laurence gave him. ANDAND Laurence is seriously the most gentlemanly man everrrrrrr. Teehee, Granby. I get excited reading about the characters you mentioned -- it's seriously like the book is fic to your story. Now I'm like, Granby, I know what you're up to when you're not in the scene! Sneakin' around with dear ol' RayRay! Bahahahaha

This was awesome! The crossover feels so natural, and I was grinning with glee so many times during this story. The bit where Brad and Ray are dancing, the bit where Ray gets Bravo, etc. Bravo is such an awesome dragon--I love how her vocabulary reflects that of her captain. Also, egg spurs FTW!

Oh, thank you so much! It was sort of a beast of a crossover to wrangle, with all the different slang and such, but it was such fun and I had a blast writing it. I'm delighted you enjoyed it! I couldn't resist the dancing scene AT ALL, and oh man, BRAVO! I have such a heart for her, and I'm glad you liked her too. <3

So, firstly I feel I should apologize for being such a lurker, because I've read this fic at LEAST a dozen times and this is the first time I've left any sort of comment on it, and I get so mad when people do that to my work, but I just had so many feelings that I couldn't manage to get them into any form of wordage ( ... )
