98. (2.) The Pacific to Shinjuku

Written referring to notes taken Sunday, August 3rd.I had a shower before going to bed, as the showers would close at 10 and wouldn’t reopen until 7. They were kickin’, but disused - the curtains were a bit moldy. Wow that super imposing man sounded a bit scary. Thank goodness you were able to get away from him. I'm curious though, how did you like your accommodation? I'm always curious how other hotels treat their patrons since I work for a hotel myself. Are you planning on traveling again soon? If so you should come stay at the Hampton Inn where I work we're having a great promotion. Here is the information ( ... )

Um... wow, where do I begin? =)

1. As I said in the post, I stayed at a cybercafé, which doesn't merit comparison to a hotel at any level. I was looking to spend the night as cheaply as possible and wasn't really in the market for a hotel. I did end up staying in a hotel the following night in another, smaller city, but that was because there was no obvious alternative.

2. I should stay at the Hampton Inn? The one where you work, as opposed to the 1,500 others? Is this a proposition of some kind? =)

3. WOW! Team USA!? U-S-A! U-S-A! Oh, wait, whooops, I'm a Canadian. =) OK, I have to admit I was rooting for Michael Phelps. I'm generally pro-USAmerican, but not to the point where it would impact my choice of hotel.

4. From what I can tell, the Hampton Inn fiefdom of the Hilton Empire doesn't have any locations in Japan, although I'm sure you wouldn't hesitate to recommend another brand under the Hilton umbrella ( ... )
