Wait, Wait, Wait!!! Based on the youtube stream of the opening song it appears they're totally re-doing the Transformers Animated in Japan, is this true?!?!
They made a whole new animation for the Op from scratch, but the rest of the animation is supposed to be entirely what Cartoon Network animated. They're just going to re-arrange the order and change dialogues accordingly to the storyline they chose to set up.
This is the same they did with Beast Wars. Japan traditionally animates openings and endings for foreing animations simply to fit with their standards, but the actual animated episodes are just dubs of what was produced in another country.
