don't have any dreams, don't have any plans

Sometimes my father sends me links to things around the internet in a really passive aggressive way. For instance, he might link me to an article about how being on your computer late at night makes it difficult for you to sleep. Or about how sitting for long periods of time - say, while staring at a computer screen - is bad for your health, ( Read more... )

My hypothetical answer to your hypothetical question would be NO. No, it would not be wrong.

Also, I should do everything in my power to get to this, shouldn't I? Anyone wanna come?

Punching people in the face is my fave solution for every trouble. It might not be civil, but it drives the point home almost every time.

I always threaten to do it, but I never have. Maybe I need to work on that.

unfortunately as a tiresome pacifist i can't condone the use of violence in that situation. if, however, your drink was to accidentally spill ALL OVER THEM AND THEIR BELONGINGS then it would be their own ridiculous faults for being so tiresome. :P

Ahaha, if only I'd had a drink! But yes, okay - I will try to refrain from doing anything particularly violent.

I have steel-toed boots and I'm not afraid to use them. Also, elbows. Still, super envious right now. They were a good concert?

Though I will say, I don't often sing at shows unless the people on stage are actively going "yes, sing for this part!" -- I came to see and hear them, not the sound of my own voice echoing in my head or the off-key bellow of the guy standing behind me. *cough* But I'm basically a misanthrope at times, so. Sometimes I mouth the words, if I know the song really well, and I do sing if encouraged to. Usually the crowd around me singing doesn't bother me one bit, and sometimes it's kind of cool, but every once in awhile there is that one really irritating voice...

I wish I could go to that. YOAV! That guy needs to come back to the US, damn it.

They were, definitely!

I really, really hope that I wasn't that one really irritating voice bugging other people. I mean, I don't do much except stand there and enjoy the music, which often involves singing? And normally I do not care how people enjoy their concerts. Except when it involves giving me weird looks.

I...do not know him? Though clearly I should.

Oh, I highly doubt you're bothering the people around you. Mostly I feel like as long as people are enjoying themselves and not getting in the way of other people's enjoyment, all is well. The one-irritating-voice thing happens to me very rarely, and usually involves a lot of effort on the person's part, afaict. So I am sure you're fine!

As an apology for worrying you:

as long as people are enjoying themselves and not getting in the way of other people's enjoyment, all is well. That's pretty much my way of thinking.

Definitely okay! I hate it when people do such things, but tend to just quietly rage, actually telling them to fuck off, while unlikely to work, would feel immensely satisfying!

Me too! Next time, though, I'm definitely just going to tell them to fuck off.
