Sometimes my father sends me links to things around the internet in a really passive aggressive way. For instance, he might link me to an article about how being on your computer late at night makes it difficult for you to sleep. Or about how sitting for long periods of time - say, while staring at a computer screen - is bad for your health, regardless of how much exercise you get. Anyway, sometimes he links me to things that are genuinely interesting (he saves all the hilarious YouTube videos for my mother, for some reason) and
this is one of them. The site has a bunch of lectures giving by people on a variety of subjects, and this is one of the fun ones, but it's still sort of fascinating. Brain magic, you guys! (It's long, but worth your time, I think.)
Hey, can we discuss concert etiquette for a second? If you've arrived early for a show and gotten a good spot (hypothetically, let's say three rows from the stage) and a large group of girls shows up behind you and says, "Um, sorry, can I just - my friends up there." What I normally do is let people through, but I want to know if it's okay to say, "WELL GOOD FOR YOUR FRIEND, THEY OBVIOUSLY GOT HERE A BIT EARLIER. YOU CAN STAY RIGHT WHERE YOU ARE, THOUGH, BECAUSE I HAVEN'T BEEN STANDING HERE FOR AN HOUR JUST SO YOU CAN WALK IN AT THE LAST MINUTE AND GET A BETTER SPOT THAN ME." And then, let's say that these girls do manage to weasel their way closer to the front and center, but throughout the whole show they keep shooting you weird looks for no reason at all - I am not a flaily person, okay? I WAS JUST FUCKING SINGING - and then it turns out that they only know THREE FUCKING SONGS (No Cars Go, Rebellion (Lies), & Wake Up). Which, fine - I am happy for new fans. That's great, really. I just do not think you needed to shove your way past me just to give me weird looks and sing along to THREE FUCKING SONGS. Ahem. So anyway, my question is - in this hypothetical situation, would it be wrong for me to punch every single one of those girls in the face?
I promise to get you an actual recap as soon as I have spoken to my brother; I am appallingly bad at remembering things like songs. And other such important things.
Also, I should do everything in my power to get to
this, shouldn't I? Anyone wanna come?
