Hey, you know what's frustratingly complex? Registering for university courses! Seriously, why so difficult? Is it an extra test? Like, hey, you got in, but here's just one last hurdle you have to jump over to really make it ( Read more... )

Approximately 50 % of the Los Angeles Lakers fan base consists of Hollywood celebrities hoping to appear more masculine in the face of fierce homosexuality rumors.

Oh wow. My mind immediately goes to a recent game that Joe Jonas and Zac Efron both attended. This is so true!!

Not that I claim to know much about the Lakers at all, but I can see how this is a plausible theory. Joe Jonas and Zac Efron!

Ooh, you should definitely take Russian. It'll be way more interesting, though potentially less useful, than French.

I think I might take French classes outside of school to try and keep up with it, since the country is bilingual and all. But Russian would be really cool to learn, even though it's supposed to be very difficult.

Are you starting uni this year? What are you majoring in? (It that even the right term? XD) I don't really understand uni systems other than the British one, and here we don't get to choose our own courses mostly until our final year. My department gave us half a credit to do whatever we wanted, so I took two years of Japanese. It was really fun!

I am starting uni this year, in September. I don't really know what I'm majoring in yet? I'm doing an arts degree, and the school I'm going to has this really different first year program that incorporates philosophy, history, art history, and sociology into one big program, and it's the basis for any arts degree. So after the first year I'll hopefully know a bit better what I want to do? (I'm thinking something history related, though I'm not sure what I'd do with that, in the end. What are you studying?)

I'm a Psychology graduate, which is just as depressing as it sounds! Your arts programme sounds really interesting though. It's really cool to be able to do a range of subjects. Over here you choose the one subject to apply for and that's it; it's really limiting.

That does sound really limiting! I wonder if that's really the best system; it does seem like giving people more variety makes it easier for people to enjoy themselves, and to see what else they could be doing.

(I had this moment today while looking at courses where I thought that maybe I could major in Russian Studies. That's sort of bizarre, isn't it?)
Heeeeeeeee! Bizarre and interesting.

Is it wrong that that immediately screamed Evan to me?
HA. Is Evan a Lakers fan??

This clearly means there needs to be OT3 fic in which they send each other gorgeous pieces of jewelry from around the world when they're apart.
This is exactly what it means. Evan totally went shopping with Stéphane in Korea for a pendant for Johnny.

It totally has nothing to do with figure skating, I know what you're thinking.

I believe so, yes.

Oh man, that is the best idea ever. They went shopping together and Evan was upset that he wouldn't be able to be there when Stephane gives it to him when Stephane and Johnny are in Japan next month.

I totally believe you! (Okay, I 85% believe you. :P)

Oh nice. I shall add this to my collection of Evan articles.

Excellent. That's why Stéphane sneakily buys another pendant and sends it to Evan around the time that he and Johnny are in Japan. Just as a reminder that they're thinking of him.

Hey! I have always been fascinated by Russia, it is not at all skating influenced.

I just googled that, too. I mean, I was pretty sure he was a Lakers fan, but that article is pure gold.

YAY! And Evan's is all touched but still kind of jealous that he can't be with them, so he's kind of in a grumpy mood for a week or so. Especially when he can't help going online and checking photos, and they look so damn happy together.

HA! That is the truth. And I'm pretty sure that a LOT of what Evan does is in hopes of appearing more masculine in the face of fierce homosexuality rumors. Oh, Evan.

I need that OT3 fic in my life. Boys buying each other presents when their apart! <3

I mean, I'm sure he is actually a fan! I just...couldn't help but think of him.

Basically every version of established OT3 in my head has them doing ridiculously sappy things for one another.
