And after seeing a pretty girl triapse around in cat ears and not a whole lot else, it's... somewhat odd to see massie wearing them.

The first part is a reference to the Rocky Horror picture show, and I can give you the whole explanation but if you've never seen it it still won't make much sense. :p
The second part: Cognitive dissonance caused by the short span of time between seeing pretty girl in cat ears and Massie in cat ears.
