Isabel opened a bottle of water carefully. Alien-fu or not, she really didn't want to get anything on her dress. "Well overall I'd say it's been a fun visit."
"Yes, very," she said, adding some wasabi and ginger to her pick. "All I can say is that he seems like a nice guy. What's wrong with spending some time with him?"

"Hunh." Much to Parker's surprise, she didn't immediately start protesting the idea. She didn't immediately accept it either, though. "This requires thought. And possibly, alcohol."
"Oh come on, it's not like I'm saying you have to marry the guy," she said, shaking her head. "But it wouldn't be a bad thing to have a guy with benefits to hang out with."

"No, it wouldn't be a bad thing. I just have to think it through," Parker said. "All the angles. Good and bad." Because it could go right or go spectacularly, vividly, incredibly wrong, so....
"Think, fine. But don't over think. Remember there's a whole bunch of new people coming in in the next week or so," Isabel pointed out. "You think too long and you could miss out."
Pleased, Isabel took a sip of water and looked around the room. She still had hope for an eventual reconciliation between Parker and Jarod, but nobody ever said Parker couldn't have fun in the meantime. "I have to say, this is a pretty cool way to ring in the new year."

"Could be a lot worse," Parker admitted. She finished her drink, and looked speculatively around the room, then grinned when she saw Weiss. "'Scuse me. I have someone to torment."
