Hyperion Lobby, Wed Morning

Dec 27, 2006 09:45

After chatting with Isabel Angel went downstairs to get some breakfast and catch up on work.

Any resemblance between him and a vampire who was trying to pretend that yesterday had never happened were entirely coincidental.

Parker stepped out of the portal and was too exhausted at first to notice anything weird, wrong or off. She headed for the red velvet couch and flopped down on it, leaving her bags where they landed. "Oh my god I need to collapse tell me where my room is and it better have a full suite."

"I put you in the garage with the dog," Angel quipped.

Parker pouted at him without even opening her eyes. "Someone doesn't want his Christmas present. Where is my puppy nephew, anyway?" She slitted her eyes open, then widened them in shock at Callisto. "Gah!"

"You see it too, huh?" Angel asked.

Parker nodded solemnly, then shook her head. "It's not a jet-lag effect? I'm not still dreaming? How-- when? What?"

"Yes," Angel replied by way of answering her very good questions.

"Okaaaaay." Parker closed her eyes again. "Clearly, I need more sleep to deal with this." She opened them and gave him a genuine grin. "Merry late Christmas. Show me to my nice room wherever you've put Sean, and when I wake up, maybe it'll be over?"

Parker gave him a look, then said, "Shouldn't someone be making sure she doesn't wander into traffic?" After a beat, she added, "Someone who, unlike Logan, might not let her do that?"

"It's gotta be a trap," Angel said. "She'll lure us in then - BAM! Sharp things."

Parker rolled her eyes, then got up from the couch and poked him. "She could've done that while you were fighting nasties, sleeping, or just talking to her. This is too weird to be a trick." She looked at the dress. "Not to mention potentially embarassing." She looke around. "Nice hotel, by the way. Good to see what your loan is paying for."

"Thanks," Angel said. "Want a tour? I could show you all the rooms Cal's not in."

"You chicken." Parker made a face at him. "My suite will do fine for now. Save the tour for when I'm awake enough to appreciate it." She frowned. "Where did she put those traps again?"

"Between her and Logan," Angel said. "We think."

Parker looked resigned. "Thank God I took the survival course from her, that's all I'm saying. I have a better chance than most of surviving." She raised one eyebrow. "Second floor have a suite? Or am I in the danger zone in order to get my own bathroom?"

"They all have bathrooms," Angel said. "Just a question of if they have kitchens or extra space."
