Bel shimmered into the room, holding Veronica's hand. "Dammit, I think we're too late," he said, seeing Angel on the floor. But he wasn't a pile of dust, so he had to still be alive, right? He moved to Angel's side, kneeling down beside him.

Angel seemed oblivious to their entrance. He showed no signs of physical damage, but that didn't keep him from looking like hell.

Veronica knelt next to him. "Angel?" she said, placing one hand gently on his shoulder.

That got him to stir. He sat up in a blur of motion, jerking away from Veronica until his back was pressed against the wall.

His eyes were open, wild, until there was a small flicker of recognition. "...Veronica?"

"Hey," he said. "They find Piper?"

"Piper? Bel didn't say anything about Piper," Callisto frowned. "Did something happen to her too?"

"Turned into a Fury," Angel said. He stepped aside if Callisto wanted to come in. "Bel and Veronica were going after her, see if they could change her back."
