After Bel's phone call, Callisto came down to 238 and hesitantly knocked on the door. "Angel?"

"Hey," he said. "They find Piper?"

"Turned into a Fury," Angel said. He stepped aside if Callisto wanted to come in. "Bel and Veronica were going after her, see if they could change her back."

"Fury as in the drive you mad if they think you're not doing the vengence thing properly Furies?" Callisto came in, still frowning. "What did she do to you?"

"Tried to kill me," Angel said, shrugging. He gestured to where Piper's scratchmarks had healed to faint lines of red. "Didn't work."

Stoic was still in place though.

"Angel, Bel called me saying we needed to talk. Bel," Callisto said. "People trying to kill you happens far too frequently for him to think you need to talk about it."

"I tend not to talk much anyway," Angel pointed out. Strange how turning towards the kitchen meant he didn't even have to come close to maintaining eye contact. "Want something to drink?"

Funny how quick Callisto could move when she wanted to. "No." She went to put a hand on his chest. "I want to know what it was that made Bel of all people think you need to share your soulpain."

Angel looked as though he was about to give another denial, but then her hand made contact.

Right over the spot on his chest where, underneath his shirt, a cross-shaped scar could still be found.

Angel looked away. Fast.
