[Well, thumps from the roof had been pretty commonplace in the past few days. Flandre had mostly tuned them out, with one day blurring into the next like they usually did.
Usually, though, the roof didn't keep thumping. And make somewhat alarming noises, like it was trying to fall in.
...and what's that, out the window?
Flandre chirps as she toddles over to it, clawing at the glass a bit--then apparently remembering that it won't just break because she wants it to. At least not now. This time she opens the window properly, though she can't lean out too far. There's a thing in the way.
It has scales and is making a rumbly noise.
So of course the first thing Flandre does is try to touch it.]
[ At least that portion was flat enough to where Meiling didn't feel apprehensive about letting Flandre step off. It had the advantage of letting her rear back and turn so that her face was toward the little one at a small angle. ] What do you think?

Then she chitters.]
What are you doing?
[The little vampire flops her torso over almost between the two blue eyes, each probably bigger than her own head. But, she can see both of them now!
...a bit.]

I climbed out!

[She's quite proud of herself now, you see. Flandre sits back up, bouncing just a little in place.]

[ Looking downward, then back up at the tiny vampire. ] No wings. Remember?

[...wait back up a bit.]
You did?

[ Speaking was easier, now. ] I caught you. Remember?

This time she looks baffled.]
...but Meiling was there. Not a--[she taps her hands on the scale/bark/whatever it is in front of her, in front of the eyes]--this.

Hence why she's now peering straight at one of said eyes. With great interest. So close her head is almost in range of the eyelashes.]

Except in books. And they had wings then, and weren't Meiling.
The vampire shimmies off to the side after a moment, where she can stand on the roof and lean back a bit, as if getting a better look.]

...whiskers?
[Flandre points at one. Then the other.
...then reaches out to try and poke at the nearest.]
