009 ~*~ Enter the (zombie) dragon

[ Action : Private ]
She wasn't quite sure how things ended up like this. The past 24 hours were a blur. Yesterday she was sleeping at home to avoid getting droned, and had been the last to vacate the house -- she had to stop and gather up the remaining supplies to bring to the safehouse they had been occupying the past few days of the zombie invasion. There was one that got in, though; the drone "husband". He didn't try the back door, or the windows, like she had expected, and she didn't even notice when he ambushed her in the kitchen.

...oh, that's right. He would have a key. Clever!

It wasn't even that he was that tough of a fight. Meiling didn't really want to hurt him, but she had to. There was no way out except past him, and the fact he felt no pain meant there was no way to disable him without severe disfigurement, and that was just too cruel of a thought. It was that compassion - that hesitation - that cost her the scratches on her ankle as he reached out for her while she paused in her stance.

....that big stain in the wallpaper is going to have to be replaced when they go back home.

But that was yesterday, so the scratch should have healed, except it didn't. Nothing healed. The bruises from other fights stained her skin, so she hid them with long shirts. The chunk of her hair (torn out when she nearly took a lawnmower blade to the head) had to be covered with a bandage and her hat at all times. She even remembers poking the empty sockets where a couple of molars used to sit, but at least no one was going to go gawking down her gullet to count her teeth.

But now she felt so ... heavy. Not just heavy from the meal she had in the morning. No, Meiling had skipped out and decided that, well, her diet could use a lot more fresh protein. The drones were already dead, after all, that she found on the street so there was no sense in letting all of that go to waste! She ate her fill, then, all the while pondering if she should take some back to the house to share...

No, she's a big girl. She doesn't need to share; she needs all of it for herself! And she knew just how to be able to eat more, faster, and more effeciently than ever--

--and that's the last thing she remembers from today. She's so tired. That's why she flew (soared?) right back to the house for a nap. Her heavy lids were closed even before her body settled on the roof, all the tiles and supports creaking and cracking from the strain. Hmm.. I guess I ate too much. I didn't think I'd gain weight so fast, though. She curled in on herself, and something on the building gave way. The chimney, perhaps? Or maybe a vent from the attic. Whatever it was, she couldn't be bothered to do anything about it....

[ Action : 1647 Albright Lane ]

[ Anyone looking outside one of the top floor windows might have a bit of a problem. You see, there's a large mass of red-and-green blocking the view. It's hard to tell what it is so close, but it is shifting from time-to-time, and there's a low rumbling as it...... snores? ]

[ From outside, it's much more obvious as to what is going on. There is a giant freaking green DRAGON snoozing on the roof. She's taking over the entire top of the building, her tail occasionally dangling near the top of the front porch, flicking occasionally like a lazy cat's, and her whiskers twitch as she sleeps. Of course, with the lack of wings, it might be just easier to mistake her for some kind of napping serpent.

But she's smiling, and not rotted at all, so it totally looks like you could bother her... right? Don't mind the dismembered zombies and the hunk of broken chimney in the front yard. She'll clean it up... eventually. ]

((OOC: I don't have many actual dragon icons, so pardon me! OTL They would be terribly inconsistent.

ETA: Trigger warnings for zombieness, gore, and death in the thread with Sakuya.))
