I read a lot of romance novels. This is not one of them. This book is legitimately an awesome book. (Not that romances can't be awesome, but iirc the sex scenes in this one are glazed over or hit upon quite quickly and it's okay because they're not even remotely the point.) It actually made me cry in places, and it had me complaining to Carlos ( Read more... )

Wait, I'm confused. On your blog, you say it's romantic suspense, but here you're saying it's not a romance novel? I'm not sure what that means. Is it suspense with romantic elements, then? Because a romance can be entirely without sex scenes and still be a romance, but a book with romantic elements would put make the relationship a strong subplot.

It's romantic suspense if those are the definitions, definitely. The love storyline is theyou strongest element. line is

Okay, gotcha. I was just a little confused, like, "how is it a romantic suspense but not a romance?" And I was 80% sure it was something I wasn't understanding because I am having one of those daaaaaaaaaaaaaays...
