The Layton Prophecy
I read a lot of romance novels. This is not one of them. This book is legitimately an awesome book. (Not that romances can't be awesome, but iirc the sex scenes in this one are glazed over or hit upon quite quickly and it's okay because they're not even remotely the point.) It actually made me cry in places, and it had me complaining to Carlos about the hero's actions. I was so pissed at him.
