I think I'm losing my identity

I do. I don't think I know who I am anymore. And it's scary. It's so scary because I don't know myself, and no one is there to understand or to help me ( Read more... )

Mima the stuff you have had to go through already in this first semster of college was enough to make any one go crazy. Like I told you before it amazed me how strong oyu were and how quick you were to adapt. I know it is rough some times, but i also hop eyou know that my caring for you is unbiased, I am here to help in any way I can. I know that the road ahead looks shaking and unsure at best, but what ever is on it is what is meant for you. You are still Maria (Shamima) and thats not changing. Much love from the south.

miima. or maria. or shamima. whatever you're going by these days.

you know what? you are all of those people and although you may feel like you're different in different situations, i think you're just maturing and growing up the same way you went from "introvert to outgoing". you're going from ib/drama/chorus kid to college girl who's not afraid to put herself out there or strive for the best BECAUSE of her high school experience. make sense?

i dunno if it does. but i know that i love you, every side of you. and you are amazing. don't forget it, kid. <3

What counsel should I give? getitonthefloor October 31 2005, 21:17:00 UTC
Look into yourself, however deep you may; you know who you are. Different situations make for different ways of carrying on about oneself. And there are times when we feel we might not be our usual self-percieved identity, but several shades of one, and you wonder about how it reflects on those around you. There are several phases we find ourselves in, and I agree with others that you just may be in one in. No worry though, with what you've gone through, you've shown you are resilient and pretty determined. We always question who we are to some extent, but thankfully there are those who are inclined to feel they know and love you enough to make it a case that, no matter who or what you find yourself to be at whatever moment in time, that to them you are perfect being the person you are.

Also I'm prone to run-on sentences but that's only because I care.
