i feel bad about ox. he does not deserve this discrimination from the elderly. a muzzle? that is just cruel considering he is guilty of barking. all dogs bark. your apartment shouldnt have OKed it, and then retracted their ok. i think you should just leave once your lease is done if that is at all possible and on your last day, let ox walk out of the apartment building with no leash and his pride high! haha

regardless, i feel for your situation. dogs are members of the family and i would not want someone telling me that i couldn't keep my dog. fricken grouchy tenants with nothing better to do than sit around and complain about stuff are never cool. if i find someone who could dog sit for you or anything like that i will definitely let you know. had this happened last year at this time, then i would have probably been able to help you out, but my parents have since gotten a new dog (sorry i didnt tell you about that...).
also, i'd kill for a casual hang out. i'm in that same situation. i just want to go ride bikes, drink iced tea tall-boy-cans of arizona, and sit on porches listening to records. its hard to do that for some reason.
