Antonin had been more than just a bit suspicious when he'd received an owl from Lucius, of all people, requesting his presence at Malfoy Manor to be congratulated for killing Alastor Moody almost a month ago over  lunch.

"Try to do something utterly grand, of course." Antonin replied, getting comfortable. Talking about the other Death Eaters and their plans to seem great in the eyes of Voldemort was a topic he could spend time on, after all. Part of his hope was to have such plans ruined, as long as his weren't interfered with. Not that he had many at this present time. "A port key was found on the dead ex-Auror. I'm sure she's been busy trying to track it, with not much of a result, but I highly doubt she'll just give up at that."

Lucius laughed at that. "That should keep her busy for quite some time, though I doubt it will get her very far. The old man was notoriously, almost comically paranoid. Not that it did him much good in the end. Dumbledore and Potter's old Order must be rapidly running out warm bodies. There can't be more than what, a dozen of them left?" His tone was deceptively casual. With his lists and his sources Lucius thought he knew exactly how many were left. He was curious to find out if Dolohov's estimate matched his own.

"Give or take a few, I suspect...unless not all of their members attempted to infiltrate Azkaban or they've been recruiting." Antonin said in answer. In fact, that had been a topic that had kept his mind occupied well enough over the past few weeks. Just how many Order members were there left, and how many would he, or anyone else, have to kill before they gave up on their silly notion of defeating Voldemort?

"How many were there at Azkaban? I believe the number reported by Ms. Lestrange was a bit... exaggerated." Not that Lucius would trust Dolohov's estimate either, but it might at least be a bit more reliable.

"If there are so few of them, what harm can they really do?" He drawled arrogantly. "Perhaps if we just ignore them they'll go away. There are better things we might be doing with our time than hunting down a few unruly rebels."

"More than a bit, actually. I encountered three myself, as did Bellatrix and Rabastan, and I believe a few, no more than four, encountered Dementors in another end." He said after silently counting in his head.

"True," Antoning agreed. "They're more pests as of late than anything else, though I doubt they'll quit. Their antics seemed to have increased more than usual over the months and the last thing we need is another night like Halloween."
