just a quick thing i wrote.
it rained the other night.
lowercase. only editting is italics for onomatopoeia (yes, i couldve said sound effects).
my legs are tangled in my sheets, arms thrown above my head, i can't get to sleep.
i drift, in and out of conciousness.
pitter, patter
the noise brings me out of my daze and i'm more alert.
it comes again, softly.
i smile, and my grin widens in the dark as the sound comes again, more consistent.
pitter patter, pitter patter
it's raining. a perfect end to a hot day.
croaak. croaaak.
i hear the tiny frogs ribbiting quietly outside my window.
i smile once more, and finally, sail softly off to sleep.
it feels like summer.
