Pokemon! It's the only way of life in this world. And there's one trainer who's on top of it all. That mysterious looking young man with the shady back story that no one seems to know- but he's kind to most and definitely a challenge. He's stopped in from the Johto region for a little rest right now. Luck would have it that you're here too.

POKEMON AU THAT'S RIGHT and there will be probably more to come. Guess this is just an introductory stance, stretch your AU wings with this one. )

"Don't you idiots ever quit?" Kaiba snarled not too far away, staring down the three grunts and their pokemon in front of his Tauros. "There's nothing in this for you. How much is he offering now?"
"None of your business," The first man spat. "Turn it and yourself over, and we won't have to waste time with this. Raticate, hyper fang!"
"Arbok, poison sting!"
"Murkrow, wing attack!"
Kaiba just rolled his eyes. "Tauros, thrash. Finish off all of them." The stomping made the ground shake even a few feet away.

He knew immediately that the brunet wouldn't want him to get in on his action, but it looked plainly like an attack. It was three on one, something that was explicitly against the rules. Not like the Rockets were ever a paragon of law anyway. And seeing them always painted his vision in red.
Atem couldn't help himself.
It was a quiet unleash as he let out a pokeball, Drapion appearing in front of him. "Dig underneath them and give them a real hole to crawl out of, okay?" He asked of his pokemon before it went to work immediately. He stood by, arms crossed, content to watch until his plan was implemented.

His head snapped back, eyes narrowing as soon as he caught sight of that absurd hair.
"I don't recall screaming for help," he growled. "Keep to your own business."

"They're as much my business as anything, especially when they're breaking league rules." His gaze was moved from the other trainer down to the pit, and then back up again to the two remaining trainers.

"C'mon! You can do it! I know you can!"
Yuugi can be heard cheering for.. something, over the rushing water, the soft sound of water upon rocks as it moved along, and the soft almost desperate splashing in said water, disrupting the current.
...Yes, he's trying to teach his Magikarp how to swim.
Of course, the short oddly hairstyled boy wearing leather wasn't alone. His Espeon was dozing nearby, not too keen to letting his trainer go out on his own for too long. Not with Rockets around, of course.

The shouting caught his attention, veering his Rapidash just off towards it, taking off at top speed before the horse jumped off a small cliff and veered into the embankment where the other trainer was ...
Atem's eyebrow arched as he smiled. "Training?" At least that's what it looked like.

"Nn!" He nodded, glancing back to his Magikarp, smile remaining. "I know he has the potential to be really strong, so I'm giving him some exercise before we fight in another match!" Gods only knew how long he was there for.
A moment passed of awkward Magikarp flailing before he blinked up at Atem. "Sorry... I hope I didn't disturb you at all.."

He knew anyone who was training one had the patience of a saint. But the other was right, so he gave a strong nod and a smile full of approval. "Looking for a Gyarados one day?" Of course that must have been the end result. And it would be magnificent.
Still, the little after thought took him by surprise. "You didn't. I'm just traveling around with Rapidash." Nothing to attend to.
