I finally got the mail in rebate for my cell phone (I say "finally" because I had to wait a whole...what....3 or 4 weeks? And I had really started wondering why I had no heard anything yet. I WANT MY MONEY), and it arrived in a weird format

i saw fight club... apparently it was so bad i didn't ever remember that brad pitt and ed norton were the same guy.. i don't remember not even one scene from the movie. but i'm pretty sure there was a fight in it somewhere. or a club.

yeah, i got one of those rebate cards also. i just ended up paying some of my cell phone bill with it. yeah, totally defeating the purpose of the dang thing anyway but whatevs.
hmm. i believe i just thought that he got shot but yet was still okay. and fight club? I had no clue. i really must watch that again, though.

I'd be pissed if I got a rebate card instead of a check...I guess I could do pretty much the same thing with it, but I don't know, I guess I'd rather have the option of cash money (not that I ever carry more than 5 bucks on me). So I guess it's just me being contrary.

I saw Fight Club for the first time several months ago and I still don't understand why so many people are all "ZOMG IT'S THE BEST EVER" about it...I thought it was mediocre.

First of all: yes, you did say Fight Club was a terrible movie. AND YOU WERE RIGHT. Still, fairly amazing that you guessed that ending, which was pretty twisty as far as "mainstream" movies go.

Pretty much every place does the gift-card rebates now. It's pretty super lame, for sure, but then, I do most of my shopping online, so the rebate I got last year for a dryer I bought went straight to Amazon.com, and it was fairly nice buying myself something that, technically, I had already paid for, but with zero guilt. WOO.

Haha, I like your Fight Club/Sixth Sense stories. I made the Sixth Sense connection too, largely because someone told me beforehand "there was a twist that you'll never expect." I've never read a Chuck Palahniuk book, but I see enough people reading them that I at least want to check one out...
