There aren't many things more hideous than children period, especially the whole "your kid, my problem" bit.

I have a Gateway, it was super cheap, and I love it.

Dell laptops are alright, and now is the time to buy anywhere, realistically... Christmas deals and whatnot. Though there will probably be massive sales afterwards, too...
