My name is Rob, and this is not a voicepost. I hope you enjoy it all the same.

I've determined the biggest problem in my writing is deciding WHICH story to write. As I've touched on, I have two ideas I'd love to sit down and re-flesh out and work on more professionally: A comic series universe idea, dealing with a comic-book style world through ( Read more... )

writing, vacations, silly, family, chosen, lance, kyre

I used to have that problem all the time- I'd come up with several ideas at the same time and wid up with half finished projects all over the place. (*coughs* Prior to my current project, which has left me living in a fantasy world more often than not). It's hard to decide at times and, to be honest, I'm not entirely certain you can do both at the same time- if only because- personally- I've always found it too hard to transition, too jarring to ever really focus properly. But then, that's just me, if you do find a way I'll be pleading with you to become my guru. Either way, they both sound like cool ideas, and I admire you for even being able to write for comic format- I imagine it's something closer to scriptwriting in layout ( ... )

I do that a lot, too...the living in the world thing. I literally roam around work, playing out scenarios in my head. I'm oblivious most of the time, and Heather thinks it is hilarious that she can be talking to someone else right next to me, and I won't hear a word they say because I'm in my head, imagining my characters and a situation.

I agree. I hate telling people "I understand your pain"; it's such an empty remark, even when it is true. And yet, a lot of times, there's nothing else you can say.

Fangirls are neato; the real one, anyway. :)

I listened to your last voice post. It was exciting.

Man, deciding what to write SUCKS. You get all these ideas and you're like, Hmm... can I smash a true-life drama, a 50's spy thriller, and a mummy with a daddy complex all into one novel?

I'm down to a few novels but I have my "main novel," Painted Doves which is very difficult to write, because it's a coming of age sort of story, rather than something fantastical where I could bend the rules. You know? Lol ( ... )

Wow! Thanks for the fun reading material!

You like the pick-up-later-on stories? Good. I think I'll do that one then. :)

LOL. Everyone's taking more offense to the "why aren't you dating?" than I was. :)

Girls ARE twats. But not all girls. My guy friends always say how weird it is that I'm not clingy and melodramatic. I think that's sort of sexist, but in a way, it isn't that untrue. A lot of women like to play games. Not all of them, but I see a trend, for sure ( ... )

*hugs* I'm sorry about everything that you've been through. Really. =(

I don't see anything wrong with you just because you don't drink. Hell, I don't drink that much and people think that there's something wrong with me. *shrug*

I HATE WHEN PEOPLE TELL ME (or even insinuate) THAT I'M WORTHLESS BECAUSE I'M SINGLE. Nothing is more annoying than that. Oh man. I would've ripped Lance a new asshole, family be damned.

It's okay that you're venomous towards girls; I'm quite venomous towards your gender, too. =P

I'm much more annoyed about the being told about not drinking than being single. :-p But that's me. :)

My gender is awesome; I dunno what YOUR problem is. :)
