As for Lance's comments, I don't know why people feel like they have the right to ask others questions about things they don't do or where they are at in life. Especially with the history with your mom and him knowing about that, that was out of line to make a deal about that. I think it's good that you don't drink. I remember I didn't even have my first drink until I turned 22 & I got the same questions. I have to admit..it's fun to get together with friends and get trashed every once in a while (in someone's home - no driving, and that appeal has worn off over time), it's really sad to see people who are so insecure with who they are that they have to have alcohol so that they can function in social situations.
And I didn't take any offense for what you said about girls, because for about 75% of us, I'd say that is true. :) Besides, chances are the girls that you meet in a bar while wasted aren't right for you to begin with.
I'm also glad that you don't have a problem being alone. Being alone is way better than being with someone just for the sake of being in a relationship (I can't tell you how many times I've had that conversation with friends).
