Claire woke up to find the room empty. At first she was worried that Sam had gone somewhere, but then she peaked out the window and saw him sitting on the stairs. It was hot in their room and she was sweating, even in her tank top and shorts.

She grabbed their room key, locked the door, and walked out to join Sam, stopping on the step above his. "Hey. Mind if I join you?"

Sam looked up at Claire and smiled. "Nope," he shook his head and patted the step next to him.

"Couldn't sleep. Needed some air. You alright?" he asked her.

Claire nodded, sitting down next to Sam with a smile. "I'm better than alright. I'm with you."

Sam put his arm around her shoulders and kissed the top of her head. "I started to wake you up but you were sleeping so peacefully."
