Huh, so everyone was right when they said the buildings would come back. Is Memento Eden really that weird? I mean... I can't say I really enjoyed living out under the stars like that, but it was a fun experience.

You know... with all that chaos, I nearly forgot Thanksgiving passed. Maybe we should make up for it and celebrate it later? Maybe not ( Read more... )

[Action] Mind if I help him out? sparklepiredesu November 29 2009, 18:32:21 UTC
[Takuma had been wandering around trying to find where he was supposed to go. He found a journal near him, but what about a place to stay. There certainly had to be a hotel around, right? But even if there was, he didn't have any money to pay for it...

He then saw a boy lugging several heavy books around. Maybe this boy could help him]

Excuse me. Would you mind if I helped?

Huh? Oh, no, course not! [goes ahead and offers one book to this kid]

I don't think I've seen you around, either... you new to Memento Eden?

[He takes the book and tucks it under his arm then holds out his hand for another]

Yes! I arrived here not long ago...I'm still very confused about everything. Hahaha...

I'm Takuma! Last name unknown at the moment, haha. How about you?

I was in the same boat not so long ago, so don't worry! I hear this place doesn't get many newcomers after a while, but I can try and help you as much as I can.

Nice to meet you, Takuma. [Oh, right. Handing another book is a-go! Right after the handshake, of course.] I'm Jaime.

Oh! Mr. Jaime, you're back to normal. . . . What's Thanksgiving?

For now, anyway! And didn't I tell you it was just Jaime?

Thanksgiving... ah, it was a holiday we celebrated back home. It was basically a chance to stuff yourselves sick with turkey, but it was supposed to be a holiday to express how grateful you were for everything.

Oh, sorry, M -- Jaime. Just for now? T-Then that means you're gonna turn back into Super Robomon and patrol the island and live in the woods and be a super robber ninja hero king? You're so cool, Mr. Jaime!

I think I've heard of that before. It's an American holiday, right?

Eh... I'm not so sure about "Super Roboman," but I'm still going to be living in the Apartments. I'm not that cool, kiddo.

Yeah. I think Canada has one too, but I wouldn't know much about that.

That's quite a lot of books you have, Jaime! Would you like me to transport them for you in my suitcase?

Your suitcase? Are you sure it can carry all these?

Well, if we make some room...

[She pops open the suitcase and removes the paper from it, drawing it into her coat until only her borrowed novels remain.]

There, give it a go! It might not fit all of them, but it will certainly lighten your load!

[Wait, she carries paper with her? Don't mind Jaime quizzically giving her a look.]

Paper? In your suitcase? No offense intended, but are you afraid the schools are magically going to run out of it or something?

Just some light reading.

*takes a closer look at the spine of some of the books*

"French Military Victories"? "Put Down That Donut: Learning to Resist"? You call this light reading? What's up with all the war books and donut-temptation guides, anyway?

I wasn't going to finish it all in one way! And it's not a donut-temptation guide, it's a self-control book.

It's sorta-kinda my idea of independent study. [Yes, Jaime, it would be if the class were "Controlling Your Alien Technology 101."]
