You know... with all that chaos, I nearly forgot Thanksgiving passed. Maybe we should make up for it and celebrate it later? Maybe not

Paper? In your suitcase? No offense intended, but are you afraid the schools are magically going to run out of it or something?

Well, I just thought it would be good to keep a supply on hand. You never know when a good opportunity to practice will pop up...

Oh, that's right... you can do those crazy tricks with paper. I guess it makes sense for you to carry it around with you, but I didn't know you carried that much.

Well, paper golems require a lot of paper to make and they're the most difficult application of my powers I've remembered thus far, so I've been trying to practice...

I wasn't trying to say anything bad by it! It was just... I dunno, something I didn't expect at all? Paper golems are very cool in my book, you know.

Well thank you! I've been working on it, but coordinating all that paper at the same time if very difficult... And tiring! It's a project!

[Examining your books now! ...because really, she just can't help herself.]

[They've certainly got boring titles. One's about gunpowder empires and their military tactics, the other about the Mongols... and hey, is that one about Russia communism?]

You and me both, then. I've been working on something for a while, but it hasn't been going very well.

Any endevour worth completing is never easy. But you're a very bright young man, Jaime, I'm sure you'll work things out in time!

Yeah, hopefully... but I don't know if I can tame the scarab. It's intent on killing everything in sight.

I don't mind! If my paper shield is capable of stopping bullets, I think they should be adequate protection while you work things out! Besides, this is important, right?
