OH MY GOD!
I didn't know about that second meaning of 'neko'...though it certainly explains some yaoi-manga characteristics (not that I'm reading any XDD)
I love things like that XD
This is probably only funny for westerners, because we haev this strange sense of humor...XD BUt certainly, it makes learning easier.

No need to feel ashamed about yaoi-manga, we all read it at least once xD
Double meanings make things a little more amusing xD and in this case made it all so much easier for me to remember, I don't think I'll ever forget those words xD

I'm not sure how you're reading it xD
The last part was just low level English of the students resulting in an interesting choice of words to explain the meaning too.
But the first one is just him saying "I want to become a cat", but I read the second translation of the word first and had my little "wtf?!" moment x"D
