I don't even know how to respond to this. I'm not throwing anything overboard. I emailed all of you to see whether we were all on the same page that communication is not working.

I don't think you've been respectful to me here or in your journal, but I have not been respectful to you, either. I am sorry about that, but this whole thing hurts. That's not an excuse. I don't always behave perfectly, and I certainly haven't been here. I've been rude and angry, but not, I think, hypocritical.

It's clear we all feel passionately about things, but we're coming at them from different angles: you guys about your activism, me about freedom of speech and the right of an author over her own work.

Spoggly Catherine, and anyone reading this: I've apologized privately, but I'll do it publically as well. I'm sorry for being rude, nasty, and disrespectful. I think all of us feel very passionately about this situation from different standpoints, and I let my temper get the better of my judgement. I'm sorry.
