Maine is a lesbian mecca? Where are they? I've been going to school in Maine for the past three months and I've only met like one girl who identifies as a lesbian (although there a lot of girls who don't like labels).

Mind you, I'm basing that on (1) my great aunt and her SO and (2) The Heart's Progress: A Lesbian Memoir, which I reread this week. Not exactly sufficient data.

I don't know if i get the best perspective on the potential crop of lesbians though either because I got to a school with about 350 students in a town with 4000 residents so it's not like there are many people around anyway.
