[Alice is outside. She had found a package at the mailbox, and upon opening it, stopped at the steps to sit and further examine the contents. It was a worn hardcover copy of Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures In Wonderland. As she looked it over she saw that it was most definitely her own copy of the book. My world is currently enamored with the Heterodyne stories, but of course, those are at least based in fact (I happened to have played a large part in nearly all of them, so I can attest to that).
