So Dawn's set for school and I can't get her out of my brain. She left to go to Wolfram and Hart to find her sister and ever since, I've been thinking about her no matter what else I try to do. My classes have been one big blur since we parted a few hours ago. I'm going to have to borrow notes from people. I tried to take notes and pay attention, ( Read more... )

It was nice to spend time with Giles. It had been a long while since I had seen him but he was still the same old Giles. I was still a little upset that no one bothered to tell me that he was in L.A. But then again, I was always the last one to know about these things. But okay, whatever, he was here, he was doing all right and just like always, he was giving me the third degree about Connor ( ... )

I helped Dawn up. "No, no, it's okay. I probably should have watched where I'm going." I was glad to see her, but felt bad that she fell down like that. Way to go, Connor. This isn't the way to knock a girl off of her feet.

"So, uh, I was hoping you weren't busy. But, if you are, that's okay. I just...I missed you and wanted to see you again." Yeah, could I sound more dorkish? I really hope not. The last thing I wanted to do was look like a drooling idiot in front of Dawn.

"Anyway, if you like, we could...get some coffee? Or something? If you're not busy, that is."

"CONNOR!" I said with excitement.

I stood up and regained my composure. I didn't mean to sound so excited to see him, I mean, what if he thought I was a total idiot? By the look in his face, he really didn't think that, or at least, it didn't look like he did.

"Hi," I said and cleared my throat again.

"Huh? Coffee? Umm sure! That sounds great," I replied smiling. Buffy could wait, I guess. I really liked Connor, and enjoyed his company. I didn't care what Giles had said before. Connor was just a normal kid, sure... son of two vampires, and I was once a globby energy thingy. We all had our issues, but that didn't mean we were bad people.

I smiled at him again, and couldn't help but feel the butterflies in my stomach and the wooziness that came along with those butterflies.

She's so cute, and apparently really happy to see me. That made me a little more nervous. I put my hands in my pockets as we stood there, staring at each other.

"Okay, good. So...uh, let's go then, I know a place near here." I wondered if I should attempt to hold her hand or if she would slap me for attempting to hold her hand. Instead, I decided to talk more as I walked down the hall with her at my side.

"It's good to see you again. I was hoping you weren't busy since I'm not. Well, at the moment. Anyway, I like spending time with you."

You might as well just tell her that you like her, you big dork. I was a bit embarrassed at what I just told her. I felt a bit tongue tied for a moment, which doesn't happen with just any girl. Dawn's special.
